The sole reason that individuals choose to go on to a higher level of education is so that they can find themselves, and better their futures. These individuals know that at these institutions they can become different people; they can gain new experiences, and find out who they truly are. The experiences on can gain while at college can vary, but every one of them can mold and shape your life. Often times, when these students are at college it is the first time they get to think for themselves. They get to choose the classes they want to take choose their major and even choose to go to class. For the most part there is no adult supervision, because these individuals are now legal adults. It is here that people can experiment, try new things and not get judged for it because everyone around them is doing the same. It has been said that the college experience is where you let the inner you come out. Higher education isn't just a place to learn, and gain skills that will help you later on in life; it is a place where you get figure out who you are. .
It is because of this that the higher education experience should be valued. It is something that everyone should take ahold of, but some don't because of the price. Though these institutions have things in place such as Financial Aid, different grants and scholarships, the majority of one's schooling gets paid for by loans.
