The 1960s and the Rights of Women

Men would be able to get a high position job to support their family and not even think about what women had to do. Mothers, for example, have told their daughters about how they were not allowed to vote and told their young to be the generation that ends this discrimination. With a new generation that can be more aggressive and come up with more serious ways to get the government to pass a law allowing women the right to vote. Stating that women were not allowed to vote in 1969 shows that women are becoming stronger by not allowing these things to get men to treat us differently.
During the early 1970s, women were not privileged enough to become anything of a high position at work due to men stating that females were not stable and did not have the capability to have leadership skills. "Prejudice about women has always been around". Women were discriminated because "they were different and inferior". They were not trusted with high authority thus giving women small work and small pay. Females are capable of holding high positions because females are strong and very perceptive. If it was not for maidens who safe kept for the young while men were at work, no man would be able to have a successful career because they would have to leave work early to go care for the kids giving men small paychecks. Also who would tuck in the kids at night and be there to comfort them when they had a bad dream, mothers would give the kids a special kind of comfort that only a mom could give you. Mothers are why we feel safe at night or feel any sympathetic emotion at all. They have educated their kids to love and when it is okay to be sad or angry. This is an example of pathos because females, especially mothers, bring out and get in touch with our emotions since they apparently have "too much emotion". Women have not been the only victims of this discrimination. "Blacks, Spanish-Americans, the Indians, and other groups" have been given low and dangerous positions at work due to the fact "that they were different".
