Greed

In the dictionary greed is defined as a selfish desire to acquire more than one needs or deserves. Greed is something that just about everyone has. We all want certain, and sometimes some people want more than others. Whether you are rich or poor greed can exist in us all. I think greed is more of a bad thing , than a good thing for us all.
I believe greed is not good because it can bring out the worst in people , and present situations, and people at their worst. Greed results in just wanting more and more, and never being satisfied. The saying "you can never have too much of a good thing", is not true. You can have too much of a good thing, and it could result in just wanting more. When you just need more and more things , you might find it hard to stop. You don't always need the best and biggest of everything, because really it is mostly something you want, not something you need. .
Like just about everyone, I have been a greedy person, and have had greed. When you get one thing you want, you end up finding something else you want as well. Greed is just a long chain of wanting things, and really being selfish. There is no end to what you want , and if you can have it, you will get it. I try not to be a greedy person , because when I do become greedy, I don't feel it is a good place to be. The list never ends of things I want, clothes, makeup, anything. In some parts greed can be materialistic, but it can also just be obtaining an excess of items. When you become greedy you really need to look at what you have, and see if it is really necessary to have everything you want.
Greed is also a bad thing because it can result in people doing things that they would not normally do. If you have a good job and are making a lot of money, you are more capable of getting things you want, as opposed to someone on a low income. Jealousy can also play a role in greed, when you just feel like what you have is not enough.
