Day 2, Sun Date 182622.
It has been hours since our decent and we are finally coming upon the Sub Valley! The air from the surface is funneling through the tunnel, I pray that the air contact doesn't damage anything important. We approach the exit point of the tunnel and the first thing I notice as we exit is the mass amount of structures scattered everywhere. The ancients must have been a very architectural people, there are literally hundreds upon hundreds of structures of many different sizes. We decided to begin mapping and siting of the valley tomorrow, the long trek through the tunnel has exhausted everyone. I am brimming with excitement with what is to come tomorrow!.
Day 3, Sun Date 182623.
It was extremely hard to sleep last night with how excited i was. We have begun mapping the area with the images the drones have supplied and studied the patterns in which all the structures have been organized. Interesting enough, many of the smaller similar structures are arranged adjacent to each other in large groups of rows at a time on both sides of a wide path. The larger ones are usually separate, either surrounded by the small structures or accompanied by similar larger structure. Astonishing! I ponder to why this was done! A higher power? A royal family perhaps!? So many questions! Because our resources are limited to only a few months of excavation, we decided to site at Group A of the smaller more abundant structures, equivalent to one "row" of the structures, and the Group B which will cover a partial of the larger structures but leave some for future excavation. We simply do not have the time to uncover the entire valley at the same time unfortunately.
