Physical therapy is the treatment of disease, injury, and pain killer addiction by physical methods such as massage, heat treatments, and exercise plans rather than having to get extensive surgeries or having to take expensive and dangerous drugs. Physical therapy has grown to high demand in the work field over the years due to a low number of licensed physical therapists in the United States. When a person thinks of physical therapy they think injury or injury repair. Physical therapy is a health care profession that treats and repairs injury. Physical therapy is a health care profession that remediates impairments and promotes mobility, function, and quality of life through examination, diagnosis, and physical intervention. This is a field where the patient is the number one concern. Even though there may be one or more patients there is always one patient who is at the top of the list - depending on the type and severity of the injury. Physical therapy is not just some word people throw out to get you to spend more money, it is the field and health care profession that will repair any injury a person has.
Injury is the number one reason why people are out of work, on disability, and/or are handicapped and cannot perform to their maximum ability. A lot of people visit a chiropractors as a result of an injury. They choose to go to a chiropractor instead of a physical therapist. What if people were informed that chiropractors actually cause more injury to the person or patient then they had? For example, a person sees that they have a back problem. Chiropractors are people whose job is joint manipulation. Although this may seem like a safe and alternative route the patient may be quite surprised. The patient gets relief but they have just had their spine moved in ways that our spine shouldn't be moved, causing long term pain. And it can cause the patient to suffer from future blood clots that may occur between the nerve ends in our back.
