Besides Europe in the United States majority of architect jobs are found on the west coast due to the amount of vast land that is available out there, along with the complexity of structures out there requiring more people. Architects face a lot of challenges throughout their career but the environment that they usually work in is comfortable and relaxed. Architects spend most of their time in offices constantly with clients and contractors developing reports, blueprints and redline sketches. Some of the things an architect might do daily is travel to check upon the progress of a build and also to meet with other engineers involved in the construction in regards to future plans for the structure. The work schedule that comes with being an architect is based on the pace that you work at and is created by you unless there is a project manager in control of the whole operation. A minimum of 50 hours a week is usually required of an architect though and usually is more due to having to work late nights to meet very important deadlines.
