Diffusion Through a Semi-Permeable Membrane

The level of glucose in the distilled water was then monitored using a glucose trip.
After that the level of solution was marked every 10 minutes for an hour. .
As we waited for the time, the area worked in was cleaned and recorded and observed what was happening.
At the end of the hour the glucose trip was dipped in again to see whether the level of glucose in the distilled water has increased, decreased or stayed the same. .
Date was then collaborated with the rest of class.

             Discussion .
The purpose of this experiment is to record the rate of osmosis diffusion through a semi- permeable membrane. The experimental design therefore allowed for the identification of the rate and time of simple diffusion. The hypothesis that diffusion of glucose will intensify with a larger concentration gradient, Was support through the results. As suggested in the hypothesis the concentration of glucose solution increase every 10 minutes.
