My personal strengths and weakness paper will tell about the abilities and skills I possess as it relates to my work environment, my personal life and my new learning team. The paper will also address the areas that need improvement along with an action plan for improvement.
We all have strengths and weakness and in order to improve the weaknesses sometime feed back from others as they observe you on a every day basis is helpful and also necessary to help you improve. So, in an attempt to identify my strengths and weaknesses I decided to consult with co-workers, family members, and learning team members. Needless to say I was shocked at the feedback from my co-workers. But I needed the feed back to write this paper, so I will use their feed back as constructive criticism.
My co-workers thought my strengths were that I was dependable, I have good negating and investigation skills, I am good at resolving claims, and good with handling customer service issues. They felt I posed two major weaknesses that needed improvement. The first was I sometime interrupt people, they always have to say let me finish first before you tell yours. I realize I have done this but I sometimes get excited and interrupt to get my point across in the conversation because I don't want to forget my idea. I now know I need to improve on this because it is rude and I don't like it when it is done to me. To improve on this weakness I need to take a step back and let my co-workers finish their statement before I join in. If I find that I lose my train of thought by waiting, I"ll just write it down or make a mental note to bring it up after the person has finished speaking. The second weakness is that I interrupt to jump to a conclusion before the person is through speaking. I try to listen objectively but sometimes I feel that I know the conclusion before they come to it because I am relating my own experience to them.
