Tom Lancer has a company that produces and sells motorcycles, the company is called Zycles. Being a large company, Tom requires a good of interaction between managers who manage the company and the supervision of managers must be well prepared and trained to interact with the workers of the assembly line on a daily basis. Who are responsible for sales to the concessionaires, are mid-level managers. They also perform the function of determining what types of motorcycles the dealerships want to buy, and also respond to dealers complaints about previous requests. When problems happen with the production on the assembly line, the middle managers are the responsible to interact directly with supervisory managers on repairs, and what to do. On the most complicated issues as future design for the bikes and the problems that require advanced level of knowledge, High level managers determine how to finance future operations, and how to advertise the company's products. High level managers should consider the information provided by middle managers before making important decisions.
High level managers should consider feedback from middle managers, for several reasons: the middle managers are in almost of all operations within the company, selling the bikes ,dealing with suppliers, selling the product and are they who can make a good synthesis for a better understanding of what people want, and also are the middle manager who are responsible for the development and design motorcycles. So the managers should always be in contact for a better performance in the company. Interpersonal skills is very important, including if the Zycles company wants to create a better design for its motorcycles, to improve customer satisfaction, so with these skills the managers can work and have a good relationship with customers to understand what they like more, what the negatives points, positives points and also the managers can communicate between themselves to get a better idea of what to do in relation to a better satisfaction to its customers.
