First, modern family has decreased in the areas of family size; the family usually has two generations consisting of father and mother and their children. In addition, with the increasing trend of social differentiation, the role that the family plays in society is not as much important as before, the family is no longer the only group you can rely on, and it has been relegated to one of many social institutions like school, trade unions, political parties and so on, each organization play special role in modern society, you can join in any group with your interest and value. Lastly, family is not the force to against individual to realize self-worth and social value any more, even more the family member become main force to support your and encourage you to follow your own mind and make your own decision. All in all, transfer from traditional to modern society, family is still a place with full love and trust but it is no long a barrier to personal development.
