Our Town

Often times it can spin out of control and become a blur. People often spin out of control, and rush through things forgetting to enjoy life a day at a time.
Many times our lives are merely a routine. We never stop to appreciate the little things in life. Between waking up in the morning and going to bad at night, often times everything else in between is foggy. After falling into these routines, we often don't even have time to say our "pleases and thank yous" or even I love you to a family member. Looking back on our lives, we all have regrets. We look back and wish that we had just spent a little more time appreciating each and every day of our lives.
Because our lives become so involuntary, many things are taken for granted. We do not appreciate our education or the teachers that help us to grow and succeed each day. We find ourselves fighting with our parents more than we get along with them. Too many of my friends parents have passed away. I have learned to appreciate my parents much more because I do not know how long they will be here for me. Even simple things such as a warm bed and hot meals are things we have grown to "expect." We all need to learn to be more grateful for the little things we take for granted.
Another reason that people rush through life is to grow up. Every kid says to their parent, "when I"m 18 I"m moving out." They are eager to leave a life they once loved. When the time comes, for life in the "real world" to begin, many adults still wish they had the life of an innocent child with no regrets or worries. The more time a person takes to grow up, the more ready they will be when it comes time to enter adulthood. .
If people take time to appreciate things, they will lead a full and healthy life. The more time that is taken to reflect on life, the less regrets people will have. It is better to be in control of life now then to let it spin out of control, turning it into a blur of forgotten memories.
