Buying Lenin by Miroslav Penkov

I understand that someone could actually sell him out of anger and decide to make some money on his body (which is not the case in this story, weird) but most importantly what kind of person decides to buy a dead body over the internet? .
Again, even the title of this story is pretty straight forward since the protagonist is literally buying Lenin but on EBay (how creepy is that?). .
The story starts with a grandson leaving a message to his grandfather telling that he is leaving for America to study. The grandfather is actually insulting the grandson to be a capitalist pig since he is leaving for America instead staying in Leningrad. As a response the grandson is insulting the grandfather to be a communist dupe. The grandfather is dedicated communist who still believes in the ideals of Lenin even if communism has died. As the story goes on, there is a back and forth between the grandfather`s past and the present days communication between the grandson and the grandfather. It is a playful streak between the Bulgarian emigrant student in America and his seriously communist grandfather. As far as the grandfather is concerned, Lenin`s collection of writing is considered to be the words of the god or more the god of his universe and his ideals. He glorifies communism because it saved his life during Second World War when he was hiding in a dugout with people starving for days. As he got out of the dugout and saw the communist take control of his village, he simple joined the party without hesitating and they immediately gave him a position in the party. The scene then shifts to the present day were we see the grandson arriving to America and meeting with the people taking care of his arrival giving him a Bible . When he is been asked if he knows what the Bible , he simply answers no and they explain that it the deeds of their savior an the world of the lord to which the grandson says that it is the collection of Lenin`s works.
