I never drove down a paved road, looked at a painting or listened to music and uttered the word's "its amazing how this all come together from nothing". It was a reality that does not strike one until they look and think about it closer. I was challenged in my journey of faith by Peter Kreeft, St. Thomas Aquinas, Peter Laine Craig, Dinesh D Souza, Father Robert Spitzer and Frank Sheed. .
PROOF FROM DESIGN.
This appears to be imbedded in Paul's argument against the Gentile Christians. The first major premise is that where there is design there must be a designer. Those who deny this deny reality itself. We act on this everyday, when we see a nice car, painting, sculpture or building we recognize some one made it. We see design and immediately infer someone designed it for that's all we can see in life. If one were to actually infer chance to a watch or car, his peers would soon label one crazy. Here Kreeft (1998) rightly says "Why then does the atheist use that incredibly improbable explanation for the universe? Clearly because it's his only was of staying an atheist. At this point we need a psychological explanation of the atheist rather than the logical explanation of the universe. We have a logical explanation for the universe, but the atheist does not like it. It's called God". .
This is further exemplified when one looks at the conditions for life itself. As D'Souza (2007) notes according to the Anthropic Principle, the age and size of the universe must be exactly how old and large as they are for life to exist. Even the specific values of the universe such as gravity cannot very or life is inhabitable. Collins (2006) notes that the DNA and RNA are like hard drives and zip disk. The obvious implications is when we look at a computer no one would ever think that the computer could ever come together and work by mere chance. Even if we were to place all the pieces in a box and shook it for a billion years does anyone actually believe that it would come together and work? .
