Preventing the Spread of Hepatitis B Virus

So to help the body fight against HBV at the acute stage, people should maintain a balanced and healthy diet. In addition, they should avoid alcohol and cigarettes, because it can be harmful to the liver. Furthermore, in case of contact with the virus, the body will not fight it properly, and people can develop the chronic stage of disease if they continue to smoke. For the same reason, people should avoid taking any medication without the doctor's advice. Thus, just by eating a balanced and healthy diet, and avoiding substances or foods that can hurt the body, people can easily fight the HBV at the acute stage, and prevent its passage into the chronic stage.
The most common transmission of HBV is the sexual route. People should be aware of the dangers of anarchic and unprotected sex. Teenagers should practice abstinence because at that age, they are not mature enough to affirm themselves in sexual relations. Girls especially tend to be influenced by their sexual partners, and most of the time, they just comply with whatever their partners ask them to do, which can be very dangerous. Therefore, because of fear, inexperience, and ignorance, teenagers are the most susceptible to contract and to spread the HBV. By practicing abstinence, they can avoid the transmission and spread of HBV. Adults should minimize the number of partners or should use condoms to protect themselves against sexual infection such as hepatitis B. Thus, hepatitis B can be prevented if people apply safe sex practices, such as abstinence, one sex partner, and using barrier protective measures like condoms. Furthermore, performing regular exercises contributes to a good sleep habit, and the combination of both help the body to develop a strong immune system. Exercise also helps reduce fat in the liver, which is essential in case of hepatitis B, because liver fat contributes in the evolution of many diseases, especially in the case of hepatitis B.
