Unfortunately only two topics can attract Lebanese people nowadays politics and sex, for this reason and to attract spectators to earn some money the representatives of the comedy shows in Lebanon resorted to those topics. One of those comedy shows is "Mafi Metlo", and one of the main sketches in this show is called "Majdi and Wajdi" that talks about a two gay guys who show their sexual desires every week in a different nasty way. Homosexuality is not my case I'm concern with the way they are talking about sex on television in a show that's supposed that all the family is watching, I'm sure that they don't care about what kids learn from this shows, you can see several children imitating Majdi and Wajdi in public. These scenes could affect the future of children. Those shows are ruining the basic of sexual education in one way or another and it should be suspended at least on television which is accessible to all ages. Another comedy show is "Comedy Night" for Mario Basil no one can deny that this person is funny, but come on he is having no limits in what he is doing. His main priority is to claim people to leave war and have sex, he don't care if the children hearing them are affected by him, maybe those children will go for sex but who knows if they're having a safe sex, it's not important to encourage them to have sex as far as the impotency of safe sex. .
Away from the comedy show that I think it will never have benefits in the sexual mentality of people we have the talk shows, since its primary concern is to attract viewers. Those shows are the most realistic in dealing with sexual topics in the media; one of the shows that had a big effect on people was "Lezim Taaref" which was shown on LBC channel, although it was been attacked from many people in my opinion it was the best. That program ignored the taboo that we have in our society towards sex, so it tackled bold topics which were useful for many Lebanese people.
