Movies and Endless Battlefields


            August 1964, a courageous 19-year-old boy named Jack Salvatore and his best friend decided to enroll the Army Force. Jack had greenish eyes with a curly brown-bronze hair. He was tall and kind of muscular. During his military boot camp, Jack suffered various challenges. After 4 months of training, he was sent to fight in Vietnam. Jack witnessed seeing his best friend bleed to death in his arms. "We would not be forgotten!" yell his commander and with the soldiers by his side, and they fought to the end. Many believe that being a soldier is honorable. Nevertheless, being a soldier is one of the unsuccessful careers because they experience terrifying death, get permanent injuries, and get scars for life. .
             One of the most terrifying deaths for a soldier is not dying in the battlefield, but turning into a psychotic person and murdering themselves. In the movie "Full Metal Jacket," there's a character named Private Pyle, he was a fragile marine corps. .
             During his Marine training, Pyle became emotionally unstable. Due to his mental breakdown, he was isolated from the rest of the soldiers. He was given the "Blanket Party" it was a punishment giving by the other's soldier. His mental deterioration continued until one night. A soldier named Joker was walking the hallways when he found Pyle in the bathroom. Pyle had an insane look in his face and near him was a loaded gun. Then he started shouting out loud waking everyone up including their drill sergeant. Drill Sergeant named Hartman was shouting at Joker demanding an explanation. About what was the reason Pyle was holding a gun and why didn't Joker stop him. Joker explained the situation, Hartman look straight at Pyle. Ordering him to place the gun on the floor and to step away from it. However, because Pyle didn't listen to Hartman, he started calling him a numb nut and asking him in a brutal way that if his parent didn't show any love to him growing up.
