Karl Marx and the Conflict Theory

Since the beginning of time, one encounters many social situations. The way a human processes these issues says a lot about her or his general view on life. While there are many theories, there are three major theoretical perspectives: functionalism theory, conflict theory, and symbolic interactionism theory. Moreover, the conflict theory was originated from Karl Marx's early works, which is based on the idea of various groups competing for scarcest resources. Moreover, The conflict theory according the textbook is defined as "the belief that social conflict is the basis of society and social change that empathizes a materialist view of society, critical view of the status quo, and dynamic model of historical change." Further, the conflict theory may include the difference between racial conflicts, gender conflicts or even democrats and republicans conflicts. However, in this case the conflict theory between the Palestinian and Israeli is significant.
Further, to understand the conflict we need to have a clear understanding about the historical context of the Palestinian and Israeli. In the book of Genesis, the bible " foreshadowed the conflict over land between the Jews and Palestinians as Ishmael was the son of Abraham and maid of his wife Sarah while Isaac was born to Abraham and Sarah. God promised land to both sons, specifically telling Abraham after he forced Ishmael and Hagar into the wilderness." However, Palestinians recognize there are descendants of Ishmael, while the Israelites believe they are descendants of Issac and both issac and Ishmael are brothers from the same dad Abraham. Further, after world war one the British government mandate to rule Palestine, taking over from the Ottoman Empire and encourage close settlement of Jews upon the land. However, the British government gave a significant declaration creating a Jewish political legitimacy to land, which created an inequality.
