Maintaining a quality of life that is up to standards is a way to ensure that everyone will have a safe and healthy environment. We all have a role to play when it comes to keeping our rooms clean, and making sure we do our part maintaining the area that we have been assigned while we are at the academy. We were all told what was expected of us in the first week of the academy and it has been up to us to keep that standard, and look after our fellow class mates to keep everyone in the same mentality, and keep things at the cleanliness, and uniform that is expected of all of us.
Uniformity has a place with camaraderie, which is a detrimental part of our jobs now that we are all in law enforcement. We have to be able to work together in any situation, and rely on each other. Having a uniform way of doing thing means that, even when you are not there, you should know exactly what the other person on your team is going to do. Being accomplished in that mentality will only happen when we come together as a class and make it a principal to gain uniformity across the board.
Making things to a standard has been in place in the military and in many organizations for thousands of years, it is a known way to maintain a well-oiled working environment, and gives everyone a guideline of what is expected of them. Having things thought out and planned is a way to make you seek that kind of style for everything you do in life, it will allow you to organize with more reliability. Structure and organization both play great roles when you are wanting your group to work well together, and know what is expected, and when it is expected. Communication is the back bone when it comes to having a unit that is well organized, structured, and up to standards. Being able to talk to those you will be relying on, and making things that you want obvious, and to the point, will make the structure of your unit much tighter.
