I See a Killer Die by Allan Hall

I recently came across the article 'I See a Killer Die' by Allan Hall in this article I was intrigued by the different view on capital punishment, although I strongly agree with the death penalty. Robert Harris was a man with no conscious he was unaware of what he did and why. Harris deserved to die for this merciless actions and ruthless crimes. He killed two innocent teenage boys; one was shot 4 times in the back and the other with one shot to the head. Early that day just before he committed his final crime he robbed a bank, got away with the money and his partner in crime which resulted him to hijack a car and kill the owner of the vehicle and his best friend and a result of this inhumane crime he was charged and sentenced to death.
Harris was insane 'Harris was a psychopath who spent his youth torturing and killing cats and dogs. This shows that Harris was mentally unstable and needed psychological help from a young age. He's mental state might have blurred the lines between right and wrong. But that he did was done and it cannot be undone, he is a danger to society. The reporter Michael Tuck wants us to feel hatred and towards the murderer 'he looked at his family when he was brought in and nodded to them, mouthing the words 'I'm alright', 'He mouth the same words to the family of his victims' This makes the reader feel rage and disgust towards Robert because he doesn't show any sympathy or made any apologetic actions towards the victim's parents. This just really shows how much of a 'monster' he is.
The inmate Harris fate was written when he put a bullet in those young lives, he played a part which he was not obliged to. People were put in the world to reproduce not to do the opposite, but if life gives you a bag of oranges and some are moldy you can't un-mold them all you can do is get rid of them. Many convicts see prison as another home, it isn't a punishment as a living being if you get a place to live, eat and shower.
