Religious Belief Systems

He is also the god of order and of fate. Zeus's rise to power is different than other religious stories where is father did not pass those powers down to his son but instead he overthrew is father Cronus and gained the sovereignty of heaven for himself. Zeus was one of three children and the one in sole control of the heavens. One of his brothers was the completely opposite of in the same religious respects. Is brother was also his biggest rivals. Hades, God of the underworld and the dead. He was also son to father Cronus and owned supreme power over his realm of the underworld. The third bother was named Poseidon, he is the god of the seas, rivers, oceans, floods, droughts, earthquakes and the creator of houses. Houses were known on the earth as "Earth Shaker" due to the fact that when they stampede, they shook the earth. .
These three were two most talked about gods in Greek mythology and religion. These gods were the cornerstone of Greek mythology and faith. These gods were seen at the gods that everyone feared or celebrated. But they were not the only individuals in the fold of Greek gods that everyday citizens worshipped. They had Aphrodite, the goddess of love, beauty, desire and pleasure. Apollo is the god of sun, music, arts, knowledge, healing, plague, darkness, beauty and enlightenment. Apollo is the son of Zeus along with his twin sister, Artemis who is the virgin goddess of the hunt, wilderness, animals, young girls and childbirth. Without having to name every Greek god or goddess, these gods were linked to many pf the things that people of that time saw as part of a religious belief system. These gods represented people, places, things, symbols and event moments in time that represented parts that makeup a religious belief system. Also, many of those same beliefs are experienced in today's time through many of those same things as well.
From my understands of religious belief systems not only include people in worship but also include many everyday objects or place that represent parts of religious belief system.
