Throughout history there have been many influential people who have played a major role on history and society. One of those people who sometimes does not get the recognition she deserves is Anne Boleyn. Anne Boleyn was a woman on a mission and that mission was to become King Henry VIII new wife and queen of England. Though she might not have realized her desire to be queen would change English Nation and start the English Reformation. She was the mother to one of the most influential and powerful monarchs England had ever seen. Anne Boleyn was without a doubt one of England's most influential and important queen consort.
Though Anne Boleyn was a major factor in the English Reformation, not a whole lot is known about her early years in life. Anne Boleyn's birthdate has been lost to history but most scholars believe that she was born around 1500 to 1503. She spent much of her early childhood years living at Heever Castle in Kent, with her parents Thomas and Elisabeth Boleyn, and her brother George and Sister Mary. In her early teen years, Anne and her sister Mary were sent to France to finish their education as ladies in waiting at the French court. In 1515 Anne became the lady in waiting to Queen Claude of France, for nearly seven years. When she returned back to the royal English court, she took the position of lady in waiting to Queen Catharine of Aragon, who was married to King Henry VIII at the time. Though King Henry the VIII was a married man, he had many mistresses including Anne's sister Mary Boleyn around 1525. .
Soon after his affair with Mary Boleyn, King Henry VIII became completely infatuated with Anne Boleyn. He showered her with lavish gifts, adoration and love letters claiming he was her servant and begging and promising her that she would be his only mistress if she would have him. Anne knew that if she gave in and became his mistress like her sister, he would easily dispose of her when someone new came along.
