Film Review - James Bond - Moonraker

When he reaches the end of the canal, the motor gondola turns into a hovercraft which allows him to get onto the St. Mark's square. Director actually uses real people not actors during this scene. People were amazed to see the hovercraft driving across the square. The scene shows the reaction of the people. By using this kind of technique, it brings out the realism in the action.
Another spectacular scene was that there were a lot pigeons on the way when Bond was crossing the square and those pigeons were roaming to get away. It wasn't so much fun for the pigeons, they were afraid of the vehicle. There was a shot of large group of pigeons flying away. Surprisingly there was one pigeon that was not flying. Then in the next shot the director takes a close up shot of the pigeon looking at the gondola guy. This shows us that not only the people around them were fascinated but also this one pigeon is enjoying the scene. Since it's a James Bond movie it's nothing short of cool amazing gadgets or weapons. As expected in Moonraker, there are wide variety of life saving gadgets and vehicles that not only save others but James Bond himself! So, this is one of the reasons why this movie is referred to as science fiction. Here are few examples.
One of the cool gadgets that were used in this film was the Wrist Dart Gun. It's basically a dart gun that's attached to Bond's wrist like a watch. It's capable of firing small darts with a flick of the wrist. It was used two times other the trial he shot when he first received it. One of the two shot was a life saving for Bond himself. It was when he flicks it on a machine that's turning up G's to a lethal volume. The other shot comes when Bond used to kill Drax, as he hit it into his hear and forced him into space. These events potentially saved the world. Not just the Wrist Dart Gun that saved bond's life but also Pen Poison Needle. It's basically a pen concealing a poison filled syringe.
