Teachers play an indispensable role in each student's life. Teachers devote their lives in order to guide students to follow right paths, become good citizens, and have successful lives. In the words of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the first President of Turkey, "Teachers are like candles, they consume themselves to brighten the lives of others.".
When we were in primary schools, we just innocently and happily engaged in activities in class. We did not know that in order to enliven lectures, teachers had to spend time creating innovative teaching methods. When we entered schools of higher levels, we occasionally complained about how much homework we had to do, and how many tests we had to take. We didn't notice that the more homework and tests teachers gave us, the more time and energies they sacrificed to correct our homework, and mark our tests. They are also the ones who are always willing to answer your questions, and explain until you understand the lectures. In short, teachers always strive for bringing knowledge to students, as much as they can. .
In addition to information, teachers help to shape students' lives. Primary students are the most vulnerable, and everything influences them. At this age, teachers, in their eyes, are the best and most knowledgeable person. Every word teachers say, and everything teachers do, is considered as standard. Therefore, primary teachers have to be constantly careful about their words and behaviors. As for secondary students, they always naughtily play tricks on friends, or even on teachers. To deal with them, teachers always have to think of punishments, neither too strict nor light so that teachers can still control classes without hurting their feelings. When students face career selections, besides parents, teachers are the ones who most care about their student's choices. Teachers follow them to see whether the jobs they choose are suitable for their characters, and abilities.
