The Rick Scott Campaign

According to the Miami herald, Scott's ad highlighting the Rothstein relationship has run at least 4,000 times, costing Scott an estimated $2 million. Allegations against Crist in the ads have received negative attention surrounding the authenticity of Scott's claims and Crist's "swindling." Scott appears to "twist" the truth to make it seem as if Crist was directly involved in the Ponzi scheme and may have even monetarily gained from the involvement. In actuality, despite the ad, when asked if he believed Crist was involved in the Ponzi scheme Scott declined to answer. Scott has also voice -via his ads- to the Floridian voters the average amount of money misallocated by Crist during his time in office and has suggested that Crist maintains relationships with men who are behind bars. Additionally there are other negative points in Scott's ads. These allegations include Scott accusing Crist of lying on his stance for in-state tuition for children of illegal immigrants (an issue Scott vacillates on), of opposing education support (Crist vetoed bills that would increase tuition and cut school budgets) and has even accused Crist of being an elitist because he wears an expensive watch ( when Scott's multimillionaire net-worth is much higher than Crist's ). Scott's accusations are impulsive, yet not as worrisome, as the sheer amount of disposable income he has to purchase ads that could potentially win him this election.
Scott is the incumbent governor. Even though popularity polls suggest that many Floridians regret their decision to vote for him before. Scott still manages to maintain the numbers necessary to bring him success in the upcoming election. This is largely due to his enormous campaign fund. "If you're a person who doesn't really follow politics 24/7, you're having a very difficult time figuring out which of the (candidates) is telling the truth, we have had more longer, negative ads.
