A Pivotal Point in My Life

            It was a cold January day, I had just received news the day before that I believed I would never get. My best friend, Pablo, someone I believed to be part of my family, a huge part of my life, and a huge part of me had passed away in a car accident. I had spent four years with this friend. We were as close as can be and read each other like a book. January 5th and 6th is a day I remember so clearly like if it was just yesterday. I spent most of my day crying with a couple of tissue boxes on my bed. I would not and could not believe that this was seriously happening right now. I was just blown away how much I really missed him and it had just happened. I didn't think I would ever be able to move on in my life ever, nonetheless move from my bed. However I knew that Pablo would want me too. That day my two amazing best friends Nicole and Katelyn came over to comfort me knowing how distraught I was. They actually ended up taking me to get frozen yogurt to be able to get my mind off things. The next step was being able to go to school the next day and confront the reality.
             I decided to go into school tomorrow, even though every part of me had no energy for it. I went to a technical school, and that week I was going be in my trade studies. Pablo was part of my trade which made it more difficult but also comforting. We had been in the same trade for the past 4 years. There was 32 of us to begining with but as time passed on, and students either moved/transferred schools or drop out there were only 29 of us in the end. We had become such a close big family. Losing a member of that family was one of the hardest things for all of us. After school I had plans to go visit the crash site however I hadn't made a definite decision to go. Everything was just so raw and tender that I believe I had no courage to go. My friend and now present-day boyfriend Adam could see my discouragement but also my need to go visit this site and offered to take me.
