Leon Trotsky is indeed a man that has a lot of impact on the Russian history. He was born in the 19th century, specifically in the year 1879, in November 7th and his real name, Jewish name, was Lev Davidovich Bronshtein (Service, 2009). He is known for his various ranks that include revolutionary, theorist, politician, and a leader. His presence was a major push for the revolution that took place in the year 1917 and so his impact is still felt today since his ideas are indeed the basis that Trotskyism was formed, and this school of thought is said to be in opposition with the Stalinism theories. After all that occurred all those years ago, Trotsky was indeed spared given the fact that he was not rehabilitated by the government that was under Nikita Khrushchev back in the 1950s. .
Leon was born a Jew by his parents, the Bronstein in 1879 and they were not the religious type of Jewish and the language they indulged in was majorly a mixture of Russian and Ukrainian. He was very active in his childhood and youth stages in early life. In his childhood, he was quite arrogant and so he had very few friends in school. Even so he was an intellectual in all his school activities. When young, Leon joined many revolutionary groups and ended up in great troubles. For instance, he was captured at the age of 19 and confined within solitary walls because he was alleged to printing revolutionary materials as well as organizing strikes. This was just but the beginning of his endeavors in life judging by the adventurous life he had as a teenager. His involvement in the Russian involvement is indeed a factor that should be considered.
Considering his confinements, he escaped the confinements in Siberia and headed to London and so he joined the other revolutionaries including Lenin. His teenage and early adulthood life was full of challenges given that he changed his name from Bronstein to Trotsky after he immigrated to London in the year 1902.
