Health and Caffeine Consumption

Caffeine is a chemical compound found in many beverages such as coffee, tea, and artificially added to soda and many energy drinks. Caffeine is best known as a stimulant that helps people feel more awake and more focused. Caffeine has many health risks along with its addictive nature and should be avoided. Journalist Rome Neal explains from CBS news, "Caffeine intercepts the adenosine, turning the 'I'm Tired', message into 'I'm wide awake."'.

They believe the antioxidants found in coffee and tea minimizes the risk of cancer. Caffeine raises blood pressure, which could result in a heart attack.
