Have you ever wondered what makes someone happy? When a person wakes up each morning, it's a new day filled with endless opportunities. For most people, the day is going to go just as one plans, but for some people not as well as they hoped. One would wonder, if this is pure optimism or pessimism? I believe that one's happiness is in the mind of a positive person. When a positive person thinks with the glass half full and not half empty, good things happen. The journey people take in their life is to search for happiness. Happiness is something someone can feel. Happiness is an emotion that is unique to an individual because it is described differently from one person to the next. What may make one person happy, may not be the same for another. People will search a whole life time looking for what they think might make them happy. .
Does making money create happiness in one's life? Some people believe that making money will make them happy, but will it? Money can make people happy at first, but will it last? Buying expensive things, such as cars, boats, houses, clothing, etc.can make someone happy for sure, but the pursuit for more happiness comes when they get bored with all the materialistic stuff. Although, making money can help reduce the stress in one's life, it may mask someone's true happiness. Ones expectations get higher and higher, and the desire to want more and more occurs. The goal of living a lifestyle of riches, may get tiresome and old for some people and not for others. "Money can't buy happiness" is an expression that I try to live my life by. Sure, I want to make enough money to live without financial stress, but I wouldn't choose my career based on the amount of money I would make. I believe that when people reach a certain financial status, they still search for happiness. The pursuit for happiness continues on. I know a few friends that left wealthy lifestyles in search for happiness.
