They live together, laugh together, and eat together. Most humans want to have a communal life surrounded by the people who care about them. They are seen within states, cities, schools, and families. The fact that humans want to live together is a trait shared by a good number of other animals on the earth.
South Africa is the home of the meerkat, known for standing on their back legs. Within the community that the meerkats live in, there are several families that work together to survive. Some meerkats keep watch for predators, like eagles and hawks, while others stand guard for the ones digging their home and looking for food.7 None of that would be possible without the help from the others in the community. They rely on one another and keeping each other safe and healthy.
