Currently, Ford operates in more than 22 countries with 35 manufacturing plants in 19 countries as a global leader in automobiles. Ford's current strategy for 2014 is to increase production globally. Ford will be driving growth in 2014 by creating additional jobs, three new worldwide plants and 23 global product launches. They want to serve more customers, in more segments and deliver profitable growth. Ford is ranked high on many lists including fortune 500, most valuable brands, and also best global green brand, just to name a few. Ford sold a total of 6,330,000 vehicles in 2013 and the total net income was $7,155,000,000. This is an increase to 2012 where they sold a total of 5,668,000 vehicles and their net income was only $5,665,000,000.
Ford's current issues start off with climate change issues, which is at the highest level of concern for Ford and external stakeholders.
