This place is huge! All the rooms and all the people. The paint on the walls looks wet from being recently painted. And the floors are so shiny I can see myself in them. These are some of the thoughts that would soar through a child's mind as they walked into a school for the first time. .
As I walk down the halls, the smell of wood and paint fill my nostrils. It all smells so new and clean. The lights are bright and the other children are all running around excited; it's the first day of school. As I walk into the classroom, there are desks all around me with other children just as old as I am. The teacher is sitting patiently at his desk waiting for the last bell to ring. From the looks of everything, this school is either brand new or someone has worked really hard to make it look new. All the tiles in the ceiling are so white it's hard to tell the difference between them and the lights. I can still smell the wood from the desk that look brand new. I"m afraid to touch the wall because it's so shiny the paint couldn't be dry yet. .
Before I know it, the recess bell rings. All the kids run out of the school to the playground with one thought in mind: freedom. As I"m running outside with the rest of the children, the sun's reflection on everything almost blinds me. There are a few activities for us to choose from. You can either go to the basketball court, which looks brand new, the blacktop even still smells like it hasn't been there very long. You can go to the swings or monkey bars, which also look brand new. The shiny metal off of both the swings and monkey bars practically blinds you if you look directly at it. The slide, the biggest and tallest part of the playground, standing almost to the clouds, scares a little child like me but nevertheless I"m climb to the top and slide down time and time again. As I look at everyone, the basketball court seems like the place to be.
