Electronic Control Systems

             4. Will the control system really work?.
These questions led to the following project objectives:.
             1. To research about control system:.
             • Circuit of a basic control system, how does it work?.
             • How has the circuit been used in a control system by others?.
             2. To design and build a working model of a control system.
             3. How to make it economic?.
             4. To test the model at every stage of its construction:.
             • Is it properly controlled by the remote?.
             • Is it durable?.
             • How long does the batteries last? Is it taking too much power?.
After a bit of research I discovered that I was certainly not the first one who came up with the idea of making a control system. But my idea was unique as I planned to make the control system out of ordinary goods and after all an economic product. But the research helped me to find out the weakness in the others control system so that I could avoid them in my project, like for example in the YouTube videos I could see the various ways of making a bot, some had some faults which I had to avoid and the others were perfect so I could take lots of ideas from there.
How does this project relate to the areas of interaction?.
The area of interaction (AOI) this project addresses is 'human ingenuity', man the maker. I will be designing and making something relatively new and innovative therefore I think human ingenuity will the most appropriate for this project.
             Background Research.
Well, the working of a control system is quiet similar to the working of a basic robot. Again, a robot can be compared to a human. On the most basic level, human beings are made up of five major components:.
             • A body structure.
             • A muscle system to move the body structure.
             • A sensory system that receives information about the body and the surrounding environment.
             • A power source to activate the muscles and sensors.
             • A brain system that processes sensory information and tells the muscles what to do.
