There are many different things wrong with education. Some problems seem like they can't be fixed and that people argue over them all the time. Everyone wonders how things would be if these problems would be fixed. I think that the most important problems in education now would be "Is online learning as good as face to face learning?", "How necessary is a college education?", and "Should schools be allowed to use corporal punishment?" I think with these questions answered and discussed thoroughly, education, the way students act and behave, and schools everywhere would change.
Corporal punishment is argued over around the world, daily. The main question on corporal punishment is this, "Should teachers be allowed to use corporal punishment on their students?" Well here's the hard part. No one can agree on one single answer for this question. Even A supreme court case was judged over corporal punishment (Ingraham v. Wright 1977). http://www.edweek.org/ew/articles/2013/10/23/09spanking_ep.h33.html. Many people think that corporal punishment is a big deal and that it should not be allowed in schools, yet some people think that it's a good idea.
I think that corporal punishment is a bad idea. Teacher's beating student's is not right. I understand that some times kids don't listen to the rules and they don't care if they get in trouble or not but the teacher's do not have the right to beat student's at all. Some people might say that teacher's do have the right to. They say that if student's need to behave, the teacher's should be allowed to beat them to put them in line or get them to pay attention to something they have to say. I do agree that some students have a lot of behavioral issues that need fixed and maybe beating them is the right way to fix those issues, but teachers shouldn't be the ones to do the beating. The parents should try talking to their children about their behavioral issues first and if those problems continue, the parents should beat them.
