Source B is a cartoon published in a German right wing magazine in 1921 titled 'Stab in the Back'. It portrays lots of soldiers in a trench with members of the German government standing on the ground above them, the one standing in the front holding a knife over the soldiers, to symbolize them "stabbing the army in the back" by signing the Treaty of Versailles. This tells us that the Germans, especially the army, felt betrayed and stabbed in the back by their government. In 1929, the US stock market collapsed and American loans were recalled. Germany had loaned a large amount from America. The German foreign secretary, Gustav Stresemann, whom the coalition looked to to solve any disagreements and made good decisions, had passed away prior to this, so the government didn't know what to do. International trade contracted and German exports fell dramatically. Germany was plunged into a Great Depression, with unemployment peaking at 6 million in 1932. Many Germans failed to pay rent and become homeless, whilst farmers suffered falling food prices. The government financed unemployment relief but its revenue began to shrink.
