Improving Performance Management and Output

            
             The report deals with a particular area at Damus Building Solutions-Pt.Lisas where an obstacle has been observed. This report was conducted to find out how improving Performance Management in the organisation would be beneficial. The study was conducted on 20 permanent staff inclusive of managers. Data will be based on a number of researches of both primary and secondary data. (Refer to 3.4). The study enables the researcher to consolidate the opinion and suggestions of staffs and managers with regards to improving the company system for performance. Finally suggestions were drawn along with the findings and suggestions from the analysis of the data collected. .
             1.0 Introduction.
             1.0 Brief history of Damus Building Solutions- Pt.Lisas.
             Damus Building Solutions- Pt.Lisas is located at Caribbean Drive Pt.Lisas. However, the company has various stores located across Trinidad. The company's Managing Director is Mr. Russel Sampath and along with Mr.Derek Mahabir who is the Business Developing Director. Damus Building Solutions is however a division of Damus Roofing Systems and also a distributor for Abel Building Solutions. The company introduces a combination of products and services to assist individuals for their construction purposes. The products presently provided for consumers are penta paints, glidden paints, clay blocks, concrete blocks, windows and doors and accessories. .
             1.1 Background of Study .
             Williams (2005) defines Performance Management as a system for managing employee performance. While many organisation claim that they may have this method implemented it might be most likely for setting targets. However, these same businesses may have "gaps " that allows poor monitoring and managing performance to develop to the point where desperate actions are required. Ensuring that there would be little room for these "gaps " in Damus Building Solutions, this study will place significance on the nature of performance management decisions and as well as the output results from employees by improving those decisions.
