He depicts women who don't conform to certain aspects of Edwardian society, and women who are confident in themselves and their choices, and those who enjoy following the strict policies which are dictated by society and provides an unbiased and accurate view of what it means to be a women. This is still relevant in today's society, despite the progress which has been made on dismantling sexist and constricting expectations for women, they are still present to a lesser degree.
