Types of Biodiversity .
On the basis of variation and distribution, evolution of four types of biodiversity is there which deals with living species independently. The following are different types of biodiversity: .
1. Genetic diversity: this kind of biodiversity deals with the living organisms genetically i.e. passing characteristics from parents to the offspring's.
2. Species diversity: it is the range of different living organisms present at different places in a same geographical area.
3. Ecosystem or ecological diversity: it deals with the diversity in the ecological area such as desert, forests, grasslands and etc .
4. Functional diversity: it is the study of different types of chemical process such as cycling of matter and energy flow of species for their survival on the land.
Genetic Diversity.
Genetic diversity allows the species to adjust in the modifying world whether the changes are because of the natural issues or are caused by humans. The of similarity and dissimilarity in the population due to genetic of the similar species specifies that to what extent genetic material can be exchanged between the populations and sustain a specific species gene pool. The more the variation is, the more improved individual having an allelic variant suitable will come for the new environment, and will have offspring that can reproduce and continue the population from one generation to the other generation. This is how the population may totally change and where adaption occurs. Such dependence between genetic and biological diversity if some changes occurs the it totally affects the environment having an adaptation in the later period of time. If the genetic diversity varies, there is loss of diversity, the result is in the loss of total biological diversity. .
Species Diversity.
Species diversity refers to the different types of living organisms on Earth. This includes the many varieties of birds, insects, plants, bacteria, fungi, mammals, and more.
