Some people can be an absolute conservative, while others may be both economically right-winged and socially left-winged.
Taking part of the ideologies of the left wing.Crimes committed and capital punishment are absolutely wrong. We should rehabilitate criminals, rather than punishing or incarcerating them. A philosopher states: "God makes all things good; man meddles with them and they become evil"" (Jean-Jacques Rousseau). His statement is very left-winged. Society occasionally fails to provide what an individual necessitates who commits crimes, therefore can corrupt a naturally good person. In addition to rehabilitating criminals, the left side thinks that capital punishment should be abolished! Incarceration or rehabilitation is the "correct " punishment/treatment for murder. Each and every execution does risk killing an innocent person. Therefore, for liberals, the person is not responsible for their act and they should be aided for their mentality.
In opposition of crime and capital punishment being wrong, a right-winged person believes that wrong doers should definitely be punished or even persecuted. If you do the crime, you do the time! An English philosopher's thesis is: Humans are born with a natural capacity for evil (Thomas Hobbes). His whole idea is right-winged. Right-winged people think that the poor and deprived are not predestined to criminality by how they live. Everybody has the freedom of choice of good or evil, regardless of personal circumstances. Thus, for conservatives, the individual is responsible for his or her criminal acts, and needs to be "punished"" by society. Liberals tend to go with a larger government, higher taxes, and support programs, such as welfare and healthcare. A larger government is more involved with the people and provides more needs, especially to the poor! The result of higher taxes is so that society is more equal. Taxes enable the government to create jobs.
