As most of you know, I'm doing my student teaching and I am blessed to have as my mentor, Apostle Maybelline Washington, whom I have grown to admire and respect to the fullest, but most of all she has a place in my heart because on a daily basis she shares the word of God with me in some form or fashion and she does not mind and is not a shame to do it even in the school house. On last Monday after being asked by my beloved Pastor to give the word of exhortation my prayer was that God give me something, not just any word, but something that I myself can reflect on and that each of you may receive it. .
She shared with me that her message the day before was on "faith" and how the spirit of the Lord was moving in the service. And I always share with her how we at Ruach do things out of order but in God's order just about every Sunday. So as she told me about her message, I wrote down on my little notepad that I keep on my desk the word "faith." And after we got the students started with their testing the room got quiet, so as I walked back to my desk, it's as if for a second I was the only one in the room, because a voice said to me loud and clear "Where is your faith?" I immediately got goose bumps!!! So I began to think about the question that came to me in my spirit because I know it was God asking me and I started writing, I came up with an acronym for the word "faith":.
FAITH.
F- flowing .
A- along .
I- in .
T- the.
H- heavens.
Flowing along in the Heavens waiting to be filtered down into you. Think about that for a second where is your faith? Does it come only when we need God to take us out of a situation or maybe when we need him to put us where we want or think we need to be?.
If you will turn with me to Romans 10:17 which says "faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God". In order to have faith in God you must hear the word, believe the word and receive what his word says! I'm a visual learner so today I'm going to do something a little different.
