We are not only meant to receive them though, we are also meant to act with these gifts. We were given them for a reason and should give attention to these gifts and use them to glorify the Father and those around us. The first gift is The Word of Knowledge. Our God is an all-knowing God. He knows everything and our intelligence can't compare to his. It can't even come close! He knows everything that has ever happened, everything that is happening, and everything that will happen in the future, and sometimes he allows the Holy Spirit to reveal knowledge to us that otherwise, we could not even begin to comprehend. It is completely from the Spirit and something we couldn't wrap our heads around otherwise. These words of knowledge could be as simple as solving a geometry problem at school all the way to getting a Word of Knowledge that someone needs healing from an illness, disease, injury, or any sickness. Our minds are so ignorant compared to the creator's; therefore, we need Words of Knowledge so God can reveal things to us in order that we glorify him and become closer to him.
The next gift is the Word of Wisdom. This gift can go hand in hand with Words of Knowledge in some cases. Sometimes a Word of Knowledge can give you the knowledge you need to get out of your pickle, but in some situations, that's not always the case. In some situations you can't just have the knowledge, you must be able to apply the knowledge. That's where The Word of Wisdom comes in. Words of Wisdom give you the wisdom to figure out how to react in situations when you really have no idea what to do. The next gift is The Gift of Faith. Everyone who is a born-again Christian has faith to an extent. They believe that Christ died on the cross for their sins and that because of that, if they seek and pursue a relationship with God, they will have eternal life in heaven.
