My oldest daughter, Halie, has saved my life not just once but many times. I was only fifteen when I was a wild child that path eventually lead me to being pregnant at the age of sixteen. I was pregnant with my oldest daughter, Halie May Evenson. The doctor that I went to see confirmed my worst fear, which I would have died if Halie did not come into my life. I had committed to becoming a mother by the time Halie was born. Halie had saved my life the day I found out I was pregnant with her. When Halie had turned fourteen months I found out I was having another daughter Skyler. My daughters Skyler and Halie was the best of friends and could always make each other laugh so hard they had happy tears in their eyes. Then Skyler got hurt really badly and it was like one day everything got taken from me and my world got turned upside down. Halie was always right there beside me telling me everything will be ok. I was reminded again when Halie was two, that I was truly blessed to have a daughter like her. Halie helped me through times when I didn't even think I could have help myself. I had thought about the cheap way out and just ending all of my misery with suicide, until I seen in my oldest daughters eyes how bad she really needed me.
The year before Halie was born you could easily say I was a wild child. Jumping off of my parent's roof to sneaking out of their house, drinking and smoking cigarettes at a young age. If you ask me I was just having fun but in everyone else's eyes I was going straight downhill. In February of 2006, I snuck out of my parent's house for the last time because I found out I was pregnant with my oldest daughter Halie May Evenson. She had turn my world upside down because I had no idea what kind of mother I was going to be or even how to be a mother. When I found out I was pregnant my mother took me to the doctor and they had confirmed that if I would have continued on my path to destruction I would have had alcohol poisoning which would have killed me because I have a disorder that runs in my family.
