(AA1000, 2008). Inclusivity involves discussing with the stakeholders which actions are required regarding CSR and then developing a plan to implement them. The materiality principle covers the organization and the stakeholder deciding which actions are most needed and relevant to the organization. The responsiveness principle covers what the organization does to tackle the issues raised. (AA1000, 2008).
             First Group PLC.
             First Group PLC are one of the major transport companies that operate in the United Kingdom and also in North America and they see CSR as being important to the company. (First Group PLC, 2014). Their CSR aims include discovering their most important sustainability opportunities and risks, develop plans to combat these issues and opportunities, add indicators to these plans to give an idea of how successful or unsuccessful they are and then report on the progress to the stakeholders. (First Group PLC, 2014). As they are a transport company one of the main CSR issues is carbon emissions and it is trying to be reduced all the time by First Group PLC. This main method to try and solve this is increasing energy efficiency of everything within the company. This is monitored with software installed on trains and buses that encourages more economical use of the transport methods. Research is also being put into find more economical uses of buses and trains. Their targets are being met as in 2013/2014 the amount of air pollution being produced was reduced and First Group PLC met the emission standards that are put in place. (First Group PLC, 2014).
             Benefits and Issues of Application of Guidelines.
             GRI aims to provide every company with a standardized set of performance indicators that will allow them to measure their CSR issues. (Reynolds and Yuthas, 2008). This will allow every company to follow the same guidelines and then comparing results with similar companies will be meaningful and easier to do.
