Although there was peace throughout the early 1920s, dictators began to emerge in Europe. Many of them were not satisfied with the outcome of WWI and they all had a mutual interest and that was to build up their army and use aggressive tactics on the rest of the world. Those countries included Germany, Italy and Japan who eventually became the main Axis powers of WWII. There were different perspectives on how the Axis powers should be dealt with some believed opposing countries and the League of Nations should use appeasement and some believed they should use collective security. The world was brought into the war by the Axis powers by them using imperialistic tactics, the most effective response to aggression is collective security. .
Most of the world was brought into the war by the acts of aggression by the Axis powers. Poland was involved from the start of WWII because Germany invaded Poland on September 1st 1939. France and Britain both declared war after this event trying to stop Germany from progressing further into Europe. Hitlers viewpoints also was a factor of countries entering the war, he believed that the German Reich should only be one race (Doc 1). Before 1939 Germany did nothing wrong, so this caught Poland by surprise (Doc 9). The main Allie powers got involved in the war during different events. America officially became involved in the war when Pearl Harbor occurred. Pearl Harbor was when Japan bombed a US naval base off the coast of Hawaii. The Soviet Union was originally Allies of Germany when Hitler and Stalin signed the non-aggression pact, but when Hitler went against the pact and invaded the Soviet Union on June 22 1941 the Soviet Union officially declared war and became a major Allied power. The Axis power brought all of the Allied powers into WWII using war. .
Their was two main ways the Allied powers believed they could deal with the acts of aggression by the Axis powers.
