It was believed that workers would have to pay a weighted price for the adjustment if SAP was implemented. Due to the workers and employers within Barbados making their voices heard about the issues, Government was then forced to rethink this strategy which led to the open minded thinking of implementing Social partnership practices. Barbados first implemented the Social Partnership protocol in 1993 and since then there has been five (5) additional agreements, running up to Protocol 6 being the latest since 2013 (Minto-Coy, 2011). As it relates to this research paper it will speak to not only Ireland and Barbados as it relates to Social partnership but it will dive deeper into the relation and differences among other countries as well, giving a clear understanding of Social Partnership issues and advantages. The papers will also go into how the countries and Social partnership relate to the Business, Government and Society models and give a clear cut view of the issues happening today.
Methodology .
The purpose of this study is to examine the Different ways to which Social Partnership is interpreted and utilised as well as seeking to evaluate what "Social Partnership" is all about. This study seeks to examine the respective countries who participate in the practice and issues that implementing this type of practice might have in relation to what is happing in the world today with Businesses, Governments and Societies and the impacts of thus issues. Both primary and secondary research methods were utilised throughout this research project. .
Data Collection.
For the primary research, qualitative research was carried out in the form of an interview. Qualitative research is aimed at gaining a deep understanding of a specific event, rather than a shallow description of a large sample of a population. It allows for an in-depth look at the participants thinking and information exposure.
