Creative Essay on Terraforming Mars

Using the polypropylene chemical, the Teflon will be hardened in place and sealed to the shuttles, though supported by steel beams during early construction. .
Initially, to power the construction effort, we will rely on split fuel cell power created in the space shuttles. However, in the later stages of construction, some of the steel support beams will have wind turbines mounted on them outside the biodome to collect and store power in the outdoor storage facility set up by the Electrician/Pyrotechnics. Once the biodome is completed, building of the glacier-to-dome water system will begin. The water system will be built out of the steel siding of the tenth shuttlecraft, with filtration units and hydroelectric energy collectors every few meters, and will span about 100 meters between the nearest glacier and the biodome. This tubing will empty into a large outdoor collection unit for future use. Water will be collected with a machine involving a high-powered torch and a funnel-like ice cutter, which will melt water into the tubing system. Because of the low atmospheric pressure on the surface of Mars, water boils very quickly when in liquid, mobile form. As it drains towards the holding tank, the water will boil, sanitizing it, until it reaches the heated tank where it will continue to boil, though not as rapidly. This tank will be connected to one of the space shuttles' water tanks, so water can be piped into the biodome.
             .
Immediately after the biodome construction is completed, the building of an oxygenated atmosphere will begin. Using NASA's Mars In-Situ Propellant Production Precursor (MIP) we will be able to convert the carbon-dioxide rich atmosphere of Mars, contained in the biodome, into breathable oxygen. The Martian atmosphere is made of 95 percent carbon dioxide, 3 percent nitrogen, 2 percent argon and little oxygen. The MIP works by absorbing the abundant carbon dioxide, compressing it and producing oxygen.
