" (III. ii. line 109-111). Claudio again permits his imagination to develop in a negative path and chooses to trust Don John over Hero. Finally, after Borachio has confessed all the crime that he has done, with the knowledge of the truth, Claudio realizes his mistake and suffers from the guilt of his error, as he says: "Sweet Hero! now thy image doth appear In the rare semblance that I loved it first." (V. i. line249, 250). Following this huge misunderstanding, Claudio gets to know Hero's true identity and falls in love with her sincerely. Hero's feelings for Claudio appears to be quite similar.
At first, Hero is attracted by Claudio''s charming appearance and brave soldier performance. She imagines him to be the perfect man. Cogitating Claudio's actions, Hero undoubtedly falls in love with Claudio once again. Before Don Pedro confesses Claudio's feelings to Hero, she is warned by her father, Leonato, that she might need to make the decision of marrying Don Pedro that night, since they are reported with Claudio and Don Pedro's conversation which makes them mistook that Don Pedro would want to marry Hero. Even though Beatrice reminds her that she will have to make a choice of her own, Hero, due to her obedient character and gentle imagination, still seems to agree with any situation that has to come, approve any offer that has to be granted. While Hero and Ursula are tricking Beatrice into assuming that Benedick has fallen in love with her, Hero shows her emotions towards Claudio as she describes Benedick: "He is the only man of Italy. Always expected my dear Claudio." (III. i. line97, 98). This reveals her blinded love overwhelmed by imagination, that she thinks no one is better than Claudio. Since Hero is framed for her disloyalty, Friar Francis and Leonato come up with a plan to fake Hero's death. Although never asking Hero's favor, she appears to be still in love , imagining a better future, and wanting to marry Claudio who has treated her horribly.
