com the definition of philosophy of life is "an overall vision of or attitude toward life and the purpose of life." At sixteen I have viewed my life and determined that family, friendships, education, humor, and creativity are my top five values. This essay will describe my reasoning behind my top five values and how they have been used in my life.
Family is at the very top of my values because I agree that an overall rule for mankind is that family always comes first. From the first moment of your life you are cared for and protected for by family. My family is foremost do to the fact that after the past three years where I have been extremely sick which included going through three surgeries I had support. While through all my breakthroughs my mother, stepdad, and two siblings were always there for me right by my side. I cherish my family. .
A friendship should be valued because I value having someone who I can trust, who has my back, who I can go to for advice. I also value someone being honest to me, a friend who will be my friend during a disagreement, and a person who won't push me me down in order to make myself feel bad. Also while seeking for a friendship I look for someone who will value me as a person not for what they can get from me or what I could get from them. Instead what we can learn from each other, a genuine friendship. My best friend of three years has always been there for me while I was at my worst and at my best. She helped while I was sick and while I was having a hard time at home with my father and his wife. .
My third life value is education. Many people in this world take school for granted. Where others would do anything for it. Knowledge is the highest power anyone could possible earn. Your education is used throughout your entire life as you work through a career. Knowledge proves who you are. In my mind education is the insurance of being successful. Humor is a huge part of my life.
