Most children acquire the same eye color or a similar shaped nose from their parents, but I've inherited much more: a passion for learning and an insatiable curiosity which has served me well throughout my life in general.My parents have also taught me to be compassionate and selfless as they have always put my happiness and that of my sister before their's.There are also some personal events that have taught me that my parents are willing to give up a lot for us. Being brought up by two such wonderful people has helped make me a better person and I always try and will keep trying to be at least half of what they are and I'm sure if i achieve that i would be making my near and dear ones happy and will proud of me to be the best person that I can be. They've taught me that sometimes we need to put others before ourselves. I have a younger sister, Suhani, who is still in elementary school and I want to set a good example for her so I always make sure that I'm doing my best so that she can learn from me as a person and hopefully continue looking up to me even when she becomes her own person. Although I do try to set a good example for her, we do fight quite a bit. However, at the end of the day, she will always be my little sister and I'll always be there to look after her.
I think not everyone has the gift of helping people,and I actually enjoy helping people in every way possible and I've been doing it through out my life and always continue doing it.Almost every weekend and over my summer/winter breaks, I've been doing various kinds of community and social works,Child Welfare,Elderly Care,People with Special Needs,School Social Work are some of the work I've been doing in the past,recently I've been working in an NGO called ST Mary orphanage. The orphanage has many homeless children who are very intelligent and have a curiosity of learning. A group of dedicated friends and I have been teaching them elementary maths and english which are two main academic subjects,since their age group lies between 6-10 we cant go ahead with other subjects.
