My State Game Tryouts

That Saturday morning, I was about to accomplish one of my greatest adventures I've ever experienced. I woke up eager to get dressed and prepared for my second State Games. After packing all my equipment and getting suited up, I was finally heading to Co-Lin Community College to take on this task I've been grinding so hard at for the past year.
Cruising along I-55 listening to Pandora's radio, I started thinking about how far I've come in the great game of baseball. Thinking of how hard I've worked, I fantasized about my future in baseball. I want to go to a Division-1 school to play baseball, in the near future. I thought about my cousin Richie and my uncle Rusty, who both got a scholarship and played at Southwest Mississippi Community College. .
Almost to Wesson, I realized how much I want to succeed and go further than Southwest. Then, I thought about my career in engineering at Mississippi State University. Asking myself, was I truly going to go to a South Eastern Conference, Division-1 school in baseball? I needed to stop thinking so much, and start worrying about Southwest baseball and my career. .
Interrupting my thoughts, Dad nudged me telling me we arrived to the field. Now was the time to prove how much training I've put in. While getting out of the truck, I got my bags and then started walking towards the field. I met up with a few of my friends from different schools, who were also trying out for State Games. I got out my customized Rawlings first base glove and started tossing with a friend of mine from Parklane before we ran the 60-yard dash and speed drills. After the speed drills, we started getting into the fielding part of the tryout. I ran out to my position, first base, and had a few small chats with the other players at my position while the coaches and faculty hit balls to the other players. .
After a few minutes passed by, I finally stepped up to my position to start my fielding session.
