According to Plato, by nature, human is a political animal. Regardless of time, culture and geography, human beings exhibit a strong political nature that constitutes their existence. This behavior seems embedded in the human DNA and seems to last as long as humanity is in existence. Plato's belief that under any circumstances, human beings will always be political by nature has been proved right until now and will continue to be a fact in the generations to come. The very nature that keeps humanity striving is the same reason that makes human beings political. Human beings are among the species that rely on social organization in order to survive. Throughout history, humanity has always survived due to strong and complex organizations such as civilizations, nations, tribes and clans. It is this system that allowed human beings to survive and continue through generations. The only way human beings have been conquering the challenges of nature is through uniting as organizations and symbiotically contribute their individual strengths. .
As any being, survival is the undeniable priority of human beings. Having this priority, the need for belonging in a social organization is as important as existence itself. Because human beings can not last as single entities, they are always chained within certain forms of social structures. This need for survival through a belonging creates the urge to exist through relationships. However, relationships within a social system can not work without a governing mechanism. That is why any functioning social system has certain type of governance. .
The need to exist within a functioning social system is a survival instinct. This instinct creates the immutable chain that binds any human being to a certain social organization. Because of this basic natural need that forces humans to exist through social relationships dictated by governmental system, there exists an inseparable element that constitutes government.
